Riveting units to be integrated into machinery
BalTec riveting units are ideal for integration in automation, rotary indexing tables, or transfer installations – in any desired position. The optimum range of capacities allows full utilization of their riveting performance. More than ten different sizes are available with options for radial and orbital riveting technique. The required forming force determines the appropriate riveting unit.
Combining a riveting unit with the Process Control HPP-25 opens up new possibilities and offers the following advantages: complete documentation of the process data for full traceability and advanced levels of quality control. All process data will be displayed as both curves or in tabular form and are archived automatically. The data are retrievable in various formats for future reference.
We can equip riveting units with a variety of accessories according to requirements. MRX – multi-point riveting heads or roller forming heads are standard accessories.
Standard Riveting Units
Servo Riveting Units
BalTec servo riveting units and have a coaxial motor concept and are therefore very space saving. A further advantage is the interchangeable riveting head which allows users to apply the machine for different processes.
Radial Riveting Units
The standard radial riveting units are always combinable with the process and monitoring control HPP-25 or with a time based control device.
Orbital Riveting Units
Orbital riveting for permanent joints is a cold forming process, suitable for different materials. The angled peen applies axial forces to a part and continuously forms the rivet into a predefined shape.
Roller Forming Units
The rolling process is achieved by means of shaped rollers that rotate and roll on the part to be formed in order to form the permanent connection.
Special Riveting Units
UNITS WITH LONG STROKE
BalTec riveting units for applications where a long stroke is needed are operated with radial riveting technique.
UNITS WITH FRONT OR SIDE MOTOR
Whenever there is a space problem in height, a front or side-mounted motor is the solution for convenient integration into automation systems.
UNITS WITH FLANGE MOUNTING
The standard riveting units are also available as flange mount version, but only on request; dimensionally identical to standard base units.
UNITS WITH C-FRAME
C-Frame riveting machines are suitable for riveting applications of bulky or large parts where more space on the back side of the riveter is needed.
